Fisher Capital Management reports – the Better Business Bureau is forewarning regarding a fraud which affects Twitter clients who allow their wish for finding the far better.
The BBB states they’re discovering a good e-mail that appears to be originating from a Twitter fans which says: “I noticed a real bad blog about you, you have viewed this?” The content is actually accompanied by a link.
The BBB suggests anytime the web link is actually clicked on, you’re delivered to what exactly seems to be a Twitter sign in page, where you’re asked to give your username and pass word. It isn’t the actual Twitter sign in site, since the address bar displays another website compared to twitter.com.
Most likely the one that routed the initial message and URL has now gotten to the fraud, or its Twitter account had been affected in yet another way.

Fisher Capital Management Scam Reviews : Google Maps adds weather layer

Google Maps adds weather layer
Google Maps got a new feature that can potentially draw more users. The search engine giant announced the addition of a weather layer to their Maps, which sports a grid of icons depicting the present weather conditions across an area.
This feature is activated through the drop-down menu located at the top right corner of the Maps screen, along with other layers like transit and traffic. The weather layer only shows when a user zooms out to the neighborhood level. A whole set of data points appear to show the weather conditions on the entire map. Fisher Capital Management confirms that a menu pops out, letting the user toggles between various units for wind speed and temperature.
When you zoom out or in, the weather layer also scales. It’s quite a neat feature that makes the integration of weather updates more sleek and convenient compared to typing names of cities into a weather search. For a traveler, having access to weather conditions will be a cinch for they will automatically shows up everywhere along your chosen route. What’s more, Google allied with the US Naval Research Lab to show real-time cloud cover data straight to the map. This particular feature works best if you are zoomed out, because being close in it will make it difficult to tell if there are really clouds. While there are those who will certainly find use in these new features, they can be turned off if you zoom far enough of the map.
By clicking on a particular icon, more details will pop up along with a four-day weather forecast. The data comes from Weather.com  and the pop-ups have links to their site to give you an hourly update or a ten-day forecast.
This new feature is particularly helpful, especially for those who are traveling. Though it’s been a long time coming, Fisher Capital Management must say the integration of Naval Research Lab tech and Weather.com is well worth it.

Fisher Capital Management Korea: Reducing LDL Levels through Cholesterol-Lowering Foods

Many Americans ingest statins to lower cholesterol levels. But several studies, as unearthed by Fisher Capital Management Korea Reviews, show that cholesterol-friendly foods, like tree nuts and soy products, help lower bad cholesterol levels or LDL.
In the Journal of the American Medical Association, a study showed that LDL cholesterol levels were decreased by 13%, for people who ate healthy diet with low cholesterol foods. There was a 3% decrease for those who ate a diet low in saturated fats.
Dr. David Jenkins, lead author of the study and a professor of metabolism and nutrition at the University of Toronto, said that it is possible for people to lower their cholesterol through proper diet. This can be small changes they can make in their lives, if they really want to stay conscious about their cholesterol levels.
Jenkins created a “portfolio diet” that combined foods to lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. It includes daily consumption of vegetables, oats, and barley as well as tree nuts. The diet plans to use soy-based products to substitute meat and plant sterol-enriched margarine to replace butter.
Dr. Jane Klauer, an internist based in New York who specializes in nutrition and metabolism, says that this lowers the risk for any cardiovascular disease. She continues that the diet creates a positive change in cholesterol levels.
Dr. Walter Willet, professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health, insists that there are greater benefits if you replace dairy products and red meat, which are possible sources of saturated fat, to soy products and nuts, rather than with carbohydrates.
Before doctors suggest medications to lower cholesterol, they usually advice patients to modify their diet and lifestyle. If this doesn’t work, they readily prescribe statins, which minimizes the production of cholesterol in the liver. Eating fruits, vegetables, lean poultry, fish and whole grains are also suggested to reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases.
The study may have lasted only six-months for follow-up, but Fisher Capital Management Korea Reviews believe there has to be a longer period to understand its effects. They also noted that the diet was plant-based, which many meat-eaters will find it difficult to maintain.

Fisher Capital Management Warning: Kellogg Gets Second FDA Warning on Listeria in 2 Years

By Matthew Boyle - Jun 14, 2011 1:29 PM PT
A Kellogg Co. (K) cookie plant in Augusta, Georgia, was found to have a “persistent strain” of listeria during a February inspection, including on food-contact surfaces, according to a warning letter from U.S. regulators.
The Food and Drug Administration letter, dated June 7, was sent less than two years after a Kellogg Eggo waffle plant in the same state was shut for similar reasons.
The inspection found flies and pools of water, the FDA said. The letter from District Director John Gridley didn’t say that any products were tainted with listeria, yet said they were “adulterated” and “may have become contaminated with filth.” The Augusta plant makes Keebler and Famous Amos cookies, and is one of five cookie bakeries Kellogg operates in North America.
“While the FDA did not identify specific concerns with the food, we take this situation very seriously,” Kris Charles, a spokeswoman for Battle Creek, Michigan-based Kellogg, said in an e-mail. “We have undertaken a number of aggressive actions to address their concerns including comprehensive cleaning and extensive testing.”
Kellogg’s response didn’t include dates for taking action at the plant, the FDA said. The regulator gave Kellogg 15 days to outline specific remedies to avoid injunction or product seizure.
Eggo Production
Kellogg’s cookies are baked at a temperature high enough to kill any listeria present, according to Robert Gravani, a food science professor at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The lack of an FDA product recall suggests that listeria was not found in the cookies, he said. FDA spokeswoman Tamara Ward declined to comment on a potential recall.
Listeria is a bacterium found in prepared foods and soil that can cause a serious infection in humans called listeriosis. It is particularly harmful to pregnant women, the young, the elderly, and people with weak immune systems, according to the FDA’s website.
Kellogg, the largest U.S. maker of breakfast cereals, fell 45 cents to $54.96 at 4 p.m. in New York Stock Exchange composite trading. The shares have gained 7.6 percent this year.
The FDA in January 2010 ordered Kellogg to improve sanitation controls at the different Georgia plant after Eggo buttermilk waffles were found contaminated with listeria bacteria. That, along with flooding and equipment changes at another waffle factory in 2009, slowed production for months and caused Eggo’s market share to drop.
Kellogg in June 2010 voluntarily recalled about 28 million boxes of cereal including Froot Loops and Honey Smacks, citing unusual taste and odor coming from the liner of packages. The recalled boxes were made at an Omaha, Nebraska, facility. North American cereal sales dropped 5 percent in 2010, partly because of the recall.

Fisher Capital Management Solutions: Government Bond Markets Global Outlook Fisher Capital Management Seoul

Government Bond Markets Global OutlookFisher Capital Management Seoul -Conditions in the government bond markets have remained very difficult over the past month, and there have been further falls in some of the minor markets, especially in the euro-zone, because of continuing fears about sovereign debt defaults. The agreement reached by the member countries of the euro-zone to combine with the IMF to provide any necessary support to enable Greece to refinance its maturing debts and avoid a default has had a poor response in the markets; but at least Greece has been able to make further bond issues; and the gilt edged market has coped fairly well so far with a disappointing Budget statement that has left any real attempt to resolve the serious UK debt problems until after the general election.
But the sudden weakness in the world bond markets after a series of disappointing auctions has once again increased the tensions. Our position remains unchanged;any existing exposure to bonds should be further reduced in favor of US & Euro equities.
Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea -The global economic recovery is developing slowly, and so short-term interest rates are likely to remain at low levels for a considerable period.
It is also possible that the “fudged” agreement amongst member countries of the euro-zone will provide an opportunity for the introduction of the necessary austerity measures; and that a new government will finally begin to address the debt problems in the UK. But the risks in the situation are still increasing, sovereign debt defaults may still occur, and the single currency system in the euro-zone may not be sustainable in its present form. Higher bond yields therefore appear unavoidable; prospects for all the bond markets are unattractive. Developments in the bond market over the past month have clearly illustrated the need for caution. The US economy continues to recover. The Fed has left shortterm interest rates unchanged, and has indicated that they will remain “at exceptionally low levels for an extended period”. This tended to enhance the “safe haven” status of the US equity market for most of the past month, as conditions continued to deteriorate in other bond markets.
Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea -Most of the available evidence supports the view that the economic recovery is continuing, but only at a slow pace. The unemployment rate remains close to 10%, and the housing sector is still depressed, with both new housing starts and sales of existing homes weakened still further by adverse weather conditions. However retail sales are holding up fairly well, and manufacturers are beginning to increase capital expenditures and inventories, and so there is a general expectation that growth in the first quarter will be around a 2% annualized rate.
Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea -The Fed has confirmed that its buying programmed for mortgage-backed securities has ended, and that it may be moving slowly towards re-selling some of these securities; but it seems to be in no hurry, and so both the economic background, and the position of the central bank, remain broadly supportive.
The situation facing investors in the mainland European bond markets is more serious. The economic background is improving, with the weaker euro providing considerable support in export markets, and so the area continues to move out of recession. But progress is slow, and so the European Central Bank is maintaining very low short-term interest rates, and providing support. However the massive fiscal deficits are threatening to overwhelm the bond markets and to lead to sovereign debt defaults, and so investors have continued to switch from the bonds of the weaker countries into those of the stronger countries, and have widened the yield spreads across the markets. The latest Greek bond auctions have received only a very moderate response, and there is considerable uncertainty whether even the markets of the stronger countries are adequately discounting the risks in the situation.
Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea -The available evidence on the performance of the euro-zone economy is mixed, but slightly more encouraging. The weakness in domestic demand is continuing, and retail sales volumes are disappointing in most member countries; but the manufacturing sector, especially in Germany, is much more buoyant, with exports providing most of the momentum. The latest Ifo index of business sentiment in Germany is sharply higher, and other countries are also sharing in the improvement.
Analysts are therefore forecasting growth around the 0.5% level in the first quarter of the year.

Fisher Capital Management: Government Bond Markets Global Outlook Part2

Fisher Capital Management:Government Bond Markets

Global Outlook Part 2 - Our position remains unchanged;any existing exposure to bonds should be further reduced in favor of US & Euro equities.

The European Central Bank appears to share this view, although it has warned that the recovery “is likely to remain uneven”, and has kept short-term rates at very low levels.
The bond markets have therefore continued to receive considerable support from the economic background and the actions of the central bank.

Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea:However, these factors have been much less important than the fears about the debt problems in Greece and in other weaker members of the euro-zone. After considerable prevarication, due primarily to strong German opposition to a bail-out; an agreement has been reached amongst the member countries that, in conjunction with the IMF, they will provide support for Greece if this becomes necessary to prevent a defaulton its sovereign debts.

But the details of the agreement are very vague, and there is certainly no guarantee that the country can carry out its promises to introduce significant reductions in spending levels to reduce the size of its debts.

The agreement has helped the country to issue a further ¤5 billion bond; but it was forced to offer an interest rateof 5.9% on a seven-year bond, 325 basis points above the equivalent German bund, and that issue has subsequently moved to a substantial discount. Conditions have also been made worse by the downgrade in Portugal’s credit rating, and so the pressures on the bond markets are continuing.

Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea:The gilt edged markethas coped fairly well so far with the latest weakness in the bond market, an inadequate response in the latest Budget to the debt problems in the UK, and a warning from the Fitch rating agency that the government’s timetable for reducing the fiscal deficit was “frankly too slow”, and that the country’s credit rating was at risk. The economic recovery remains very slow, and the Bank of England is holding short-term interest rates close to zero, so the market is receiving some support; but in all the circumstances it is perhaps surprising that it has managed to perform so well.

Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea:The economic background in the UK remains depressed, but is slowly improving. Retail sales bounced back strongly; the public sector continued its recruitment programmed; and there has been a pickup in activity in both the manufacturing and service sectors of the economy.

It was not surprising therefore that the Bank of England kept short-term interest rates unchanged at the latest meeting of its Monetary Policy Committee and even suggested that it would be prepared to reactivate its quantitative easing programmed if this proved to be necessary. But this may not be enough to sustain gilt edged prices at current levels.

Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea:The latest Budget statement is forecasting a slightly lower fiscal deficit of £167 billion in the 2009/10 fiscal year, and a halving of the deficit by 2013/14; but there is considerable skepticism in the markets about the growth assumptions underlying the figures, and about the willingness of the politicians to address the real problems
involved in reducing the deficit. If there is no credible plan to achieve this reduction, the country may well lose its AAA credit rating. Prospects have therefore become even more uncertain, and a move to higher yield levels seems unavoidable.

Fisher Capital Management Seoul, South Korea:The Japanese bond marketis slightly weaker over the past month. It is likely that this year, for the first time, bond issuance may provide greater support for the fiscal deficit than tax revenues. This has already led to a downgrade on Japanese public debt by Standard and Poor’s, and with new bond issuance this year estimated to reach ¥44,300 billion, and to reach ¥55,300 billion by 2013, further downgrades seem likely. Japanese institutional investors are used to financing massive deficits, but it seems unlikely that deficits of this size can be adequately financed at present yield levels. Prospects for the Japanese market therefore remain unattractive.

Geithner Says Financial System Stronger Than Before Recession

The U.S. financial system is in better shape than it was before the recession and is well placed to provide the funding needed for the economic expansion, Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said.

“The core of the American financial system is in a much stronger position than it was before the crisis,” Geithner said today during a Bloomberg Breakfast with reporters in Washington.

U.S. banks had net income of $87.5 billion in 2010, the highest since 2007, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said today. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index has jumped 64 percent since March 2009, and corporate bond spreads have narrowed.

“We can say with much more confidence now that the U.S. banking system and the U.S. capital market are much more likely to be in a position to finance the capital needs that come with a recovery,” Geithner said.

The world’s largest economy is projected to grow 3.2 percent in 2011, the most since 2004, according to the median forecast of 61 economists surveyed by Bloomberg from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8.

Two weak spots remain, Geithner added. Housing finance is still “overwhelmingly dependent” on government support, while smaller community banks are working their way through soured commercial real-estate loans.

The Treasury Department this month put forward a series of proposals for attracting private capital back into the $11 trillion mortgage market while shrinking the role played by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored enterprises that have been sustained by U.S. aid since September 2008.
‘Very Encouraged’

“I’m very encouraged by the reaction so far” to the Treasury’s proposals, Geithner said, while adding that it will take a couple of years to reach a consensus with Congress on the needed changes.

Commenting on the standoff in Congress over spending for the current fiscal year ending Sept. 30, Geithner said that “both sides have an interest in working to avoid” a government shutdown.

Congress needs to enact a new spending plan by March 4 to avoid a government shutdown, and congressional Republicans and Democrats are preparing competing plans to prevent that outcome. Congress is in recess this week.

The Treasury secretary defended the President Barack Obama’s budget for the coming fiscal year against Republican criticism that it doesn’t do enough to cut the deficit. He argued that the budget plan puts government finances on a sturdier footing over the next 10 years.
Energy Cuts

Obama’s budget aims to reduce budget shortfalls by $1.1 trillion over a decade. The plan, his first since Republicans took control of the House of Representatives, includes cuts to energy, transportation, housing and other programs popular with Democrats.

Republicans have said the president’s budget doesn’t go far enough to address long-term deficits because it fails to tackle spending on entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

Geithner played down concerns that the surge in oil prices will derail the U.S. recovery. “By almost any measure you look at, the economy is gradually getting stronger,” he said.

Oil prices rose for a fifth day, approaching $100 a barrel in New York, as Libya’s uprising threatened to disrupt crude exports. Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi vowed yesterday to keep fighting the rebellion with a crackdown that Human Rights Watch says has left almost 300 people dead.
Consumer Confidence

The increase in oil prices comes at a time when the global economy is emerging from the deepest recession in more than 50 years. U.S. consumer confidence rose to its highest level in three years this month.

Geithner said that the U.S. is ready to help Egypt and Tunisia overhaul their economies after the ouster of their leaders in popular uprisings.

“There is going to be a very difficult and important economic reform challenge in those countries,” he said. “Where there is a good case for financial assistance, we’ll be very supportive alongside other countries in providing that.”

Egypt after the ouster of Hosni Mubarak inherits a legacy of incomplete attempts at change, including a sale of state assets and an overhaul of the tax system. The political costs of needed steps such as shedding state workers or levying new taxes likely will challenge the country’s next leader.

Geithner repeated his call for China to allow its currency to appreciate faster and said the U.S. has gained backing from other countries for that campaign over the last six months. “We’re seeing broader support,” he said, adding, “It is in China’s interest to move faster.”

China has allowed the yuan to appreciate about 3.8 percent against the U.S. dollar since June, or at a 10 percent annual rate in real terms, Treasury Assistant Secretary Charles Collyns said in a speech last night in San Francisco.

Fisher Capital Updates - Bechtel-Enka Completes Albanian Motorway -

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alabama, Alabama, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 10, 2010 --
Fisher Capital Equipment Management News Updates - TIRANA, ALBANIA - Bechtel and joint-venture partner Enka today completed construction on the Albanian Motorway, a 37-mile (61-km), four-lane highway that stretches from central Albania to the to Kosovo border. The motorway is now open to traffic.
Construction Project Management and Civil Engineering Careers scams. Keep posted and don’t be a victim.

The end of construction was marked by a ceremony to open a second tunnel bore, the final section of the motorway. Ministers of transport from Albania and Kosovo, and additional senior officials from both countries, attended the opening. Speaking on behalf of the Albanian government, Sokol Olldashi, the minister of transport and telecommunications, thanked Bechtel-Enka for its commitment and the quality of work performed during construction of the motorway.
The motorway is the central leg of a 106-mile (171-km) highway traversing the country from the Adriatic Sea to the northeastern village of Kalimash near Kosovo. The new roadway cuts travel time along the route from six to two hours, boosting coastal trade and northeast tourism. The motorway also provides a vital connection within Albania and across the region, linking markets to the Adriatic port of Durres and contributing to economic growth as Albania prepares for accession to the European Union.

The Albanian Motorway is one of the largest-ever infrastructure projects in the country and presented many engineering challenges due to complexities of the geology in the region and the fast-track construction schedule. The motorway includes a 3.4-mile (5.5-km) twin bore tunnel and 29 bridges built in a rocky, mountainous region.
During construction, the project was the largest employer in the area, with Albanians accounting for two thirds of the workforce.

Fisher Capital Management Reports: International Equities

The third quarter saw double-digit returns for the world¹s equity markets. U.S. large-cap stocks, as measured by the Russell 1000 Index, rose 16.07%, bringing that index’s year-to-date return to 21.08%. Mid-cap stocks were the best performers overall, with the Russell Mid-Cap Index gaining 20.62% for the third quarter and 32.63% for the year. Value stocks bounced back during the quarter, outperforming growth stocks across the full range of market capitalizations. Small-cap value stocks were the best performers for the quarter but still lagged their small growth counterparts by almost 13 percentage points for the year.

International Equities: Fisher Capital management, Korea reports: International equities posted double-digit gains for the third quarter as well. The MSCI EAFE IMI Index gained 19.82% in the third quarter, with local-currency average market returns of 15.10% boosted by the weak performance of the U.S. dollar.

Emerging markets produced another strong quarter, but one that was more in line with developed market returns than was the case during the second quarter of 2009, as the MSCI Emerging Market IMI Index rose 21.30% for the third quarter. Both developed and emerging markets were driven higher by the strong performance of European equity markets, while Asian markets, particularly in Japan, lagged.

Fisher Capital Management Outlook: At the end of the quarter, markets reacted negatively to mixed economic news, signaling a potential correction off the recent highs. The strong rally since the market’s low of March 9, 2009 has left observers wondering whether rapidly-rising stock valuations have become prematurely rich and earnings expectations somewhat stretched.

While we are cautious about the performance of the market in the short term, we continue to expect a slower, but more robust and sustained, “smile-shaped” economic recovery in the long run.

Many telemarketing businesses rely almost exclusively on credit card purchases but in order to conduct credit card sales, a legitimate business must first enter into a merchant account agreement with a bank which agrees to process their credit card transactions.
In most retail credit card transactions, the business provides the merchant bank with a sales slip (draft) representing the customer's credit card information and signature authorizing the charge.
The bank then transfers this amount into the business's merchant account. The business may then draw from that amount or transfer the money to other accounts. The merchant bank then contacts the issuer of the customer's credit card (issuing bank), presents the sales draft and requests reimbursement.
The card-issuing bank then bills the customer for the purchase. If the customer returns the purchased item or challenges the charge, a "charge-back" results and the issuing bank credits the customer's account and asks the merchant bank for a refund.
The merchant bank is then only entitled to recoup its loss from the "business", not the credit card customer. If the business refuses, lacks sufficient funds, or is no longer functioning, the merchant bank absorbs the loss.
One bank review revealed that a single telemarketing operation deposited almost $1,000,000 into various merchant accounts. As a result of charge-backs, the bank lost $663,456 resulting from multiple sales credits of $399.50.
Due to the high charge-back ratios and lack of signed sales slips prevalent with fraudulent telemarketing companies it is difficult for the scammers to find merchant banks willing to accept their credit card transactions.
This restriction led to the development of "factoring" where the telemarketer uses a "reputable" third-party, non-telemarketing business (factoring merchant) as a conduit for depositing credit card sales for a percentage fee of around 15%. This factoring merchant processes the transaction either through his account or through a separate one created for the telemarketing company.
Telemarketers will induce acquaintances, friends and reputable merchants to open a merchant account with promises of easy money, neglecting to mention the personal liability involved. They may advise them not to deposit too substantial an amount of sales in a single day, or deposit too many sales using the same dollar amount, as this may raise suspicion at the bank.
Section 310.3(c) of the Telemarketing Sales Rule, which prohibits credit card laundering or factoring, provides that:
Except as expressly permitted by the applicable credit card system, it is a deceptive telemarketing act or practice and a violation of this Rule for:
(1) A merchant to present to or deposit into, or cause another to present to or deposit into, the credit card system for payment, a credit card sales draft generated by a telemarketing transaction that is not the result of a telemarketing credit card transaction between the cardholder and the merchant . . . .
